Big Bangin’

Grand Rapids Public Museum’s Roger B. Chaffee Planetarium, is a pretty magical place. Recently it went through a big update and I took the reigns on advertising art direction and design.

Hubble, Hubble!

I knew right away that mind-blowing deep-space photography was a must, and thanks to NASA’s Hubble telescope and their massive library of public images, I had plenty.

I call it the “Citizen Astronauts” campaign, I had fun envisioning some kind of interstellar suburbia. The typeface was totally custom, and made by yours truly. I based it on a popular Avenir family member and called it Stardust, for obvious reasons.
